QA Engineer

About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled QA Engineer who can ensure quality excellence across our diverse portfolio of applications. You’ll design comprehensive test strategies, execute thorough testing across web and API layers, and collaborate closely with development teams to deliver robust, reliable solutions for our global clients.

Unlike traditional QA roles, you’ll work across multiple divisions including QA Services, QniPayQrius, and Whatnxt, gaining exposure to diverse technologies and business domains. This is a role for someone who sees quality as a competitive advantage and wants to shape testing practices while working on impactful projects for international clients. 

What You'll Do?

Test Planning & Strategy 

  • Design and develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications and APIs 
  • Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to identify testing scope and approach 
  • Create test strategies that cover functional, regression, integration, and system testing 
  • Establish test coverage matrices ensuring all requirements are validated thoroughly 
  • Plan testing timelines and coordinate with project teams on testing schedules 

Test Execution & Quality Assurance 

  • Perform functional testing across web applications ensuring features work as intended 
  • Execute regression testing to verify existing functionality remains intact after changes 
  • Conduct integration testing to validate seamless interaction between system components 
  • Test APIs thoroughly using tools like Postman, validating REST/SOAP services 
  • Validate data integrity through database testing using SQL queries 
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues 

Defect Management & Tracking 

  • Identify, document, and report defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence 
  • Track defects through their lifecycle from identification to resolution and verification 
  • Prioritize defects based on severity and business impact working with development teams 
  • Verify bug fixes and conduct retesting to ensure issues are resolved completely 
  • Maintain defect metrics and provide status reports to stakeholders 

Collaboration & Quality Advocacy 

  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners throughout development lifecycle 
  • Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning sessions 
  • Provide quality insights and risk assessments to inform project decisions 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies 
  • Mentor junior QA team members and share testing knowledge across teams 

Test Automation & Innovation 

  • Contribute to test automation initiatives by identifying automation opportunities 
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression and smoke testing 
  • Research and recommend new testing tools, frameworks, and best practices 
  • Stay current with industry trends in quality assurance and testing technologies 

Requirements

Experience & Skills 

  • 3-5 years proven experience in software quality assurance and testing 
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and QA best practices 
  • Solid experience with test case design techniques and test management processes 
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to understand complex business requirements 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and collaboration 

 

Technical Requirements 

  • Solid API testing knowledge using REST/SOAP protocols and tools like Postman or SoapUI 
  • Proficiency in test case management and defect tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar) 
  • Working knowledge of SQL for database testing and data validation 
  • Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and browser developer tools 
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based testing

Bonus Points 

  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central or CRM testing 
  • Test automation experience using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks 
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing integration 
  • Performance and load testing experience using JMeter, k6, or similar tools 
  • Understanding of security testing concepts and practices 
  • Experience testing financial or payroll systems 
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git) 
  • Familiarity with programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, C#)
